Public Events, Performances and Accommodations

There are many ways for families and friends to participate in Songbook Academy week festivities whether traveling to Carmel, Indiana in person or tuning in online from across the country. Public Events for Friends & Families 


PUBLIC MASTERCLASS | TBD - July 15 OR July 16, 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM | free, ticketed event

Michael Feinstein will be joined by a special guest mentor as they guide the performances of ten randomly selected singers. Performers will be randomly drawn on the first night of Academy week.  Tickets for this live and livestreamed event are free and will be available starting May 19, 2025 at 7:00 pm ET.

 

SONGBOOK SHOWCASE | July 17, 7:00 PM | ticketed event (free for families)

All forty singers will sing their solo pieces on the Payne & Mencias Palladium stage. Please note, while all students will have solo spotlights in the final concert, not ALL students will sing a full solo song on Saturday. That makes this a MUST-SEE event during Songbook Academy week for families looking to cheer on their students. Attendance is complimentary for all Songbook Academy families by using the discount code: SongbookComp. Tickets for this event and livestream will be available starting May 19, 2025 at 7:00 pm ET.

 

SONGBOOK ACADEMY IN CONCERT | July 19, 7:00 PM | ticketed event

The week culminates in this final concert – emceed by Songbook Foundation founder and five-time Grammy Award nominee Michael Feinstein – in which all forty singers celebrate their talents and showcase the growth they have experienced during the week through a variety of solo, small group and choral performances. 

Tickets:

  • Tickets for this performance start at $25 with various pricing options.
  • The performance livestream requires a pay-what-you-can registration.
  • Family Pre-Sale tickets will be available the week of May 12, 2025 (information coming soon). The presale will end on Monday, May 19 at 7:00 pm ET.

Free parking is available on surrounding streets and in the city’s self-parking garages, within easy walking distance of Allied Solutions Center’s venues. The nearest garage is at the Tarkington and Studio Theater building, just south of the Palladium off 3rd Avenue; follow the signs to the Payne & Mencias Palladium entrances.
