Hall of Fame
The Great American Songbook Hall of Fame, currently housed in the home of the Great American Songbook Foundation at The Palladium at the Center for the Performing Arts, celebrates lyricists, composers, and performers who helped to create “the soundtrack of our lives” with their contribution to American Popular song. Hall of Fame inductees are chosen based on factors including musical influence on other artists, length and depth of career and body of work, innovation and superiority in style and technique; over all, musical excellence is the essential qualification of induction.
Honors acknowledge those that have made significant contributions to the Great American Songbook, and new members are inducted into the Hall of Fame in an annual ceremony and Gala performance, Songbook Celebration.
The Great American Songbook Hall of Fame exhibit, located in the Shiel Sexton Lounge at the Center for the Performing Arts, is funded by a generous contribution from Dr. and Mrs. Charles Simons.
