Welcome to The Songbook Academy

Congratulations and welcome to The Songbook Academy family! This year, 40 singers were selected from an applicant pool representing talent from 20 states across the country to participate in The Songbook Academy 2025. In the coming weeks, there will be a public announcement to present this year’s class of singers.
 
In the meantime, here is everything you need to know as you start preparing for your Songbook experience! This page is only intended for students and parent/guardians of The Songbook Academy 2025 to use as a go-to resource for important program updates, arrival and departure details, packing lists and FAQs regarding the The Songbook Academy 2025. We will continually update this page, so please check back for new additions!

General Program Details

 
What are the dates of The Songbook Academy 2025?

The Songbook Academy 2025 will take place from Saturday, July 12 through Sunday, July 20. Check-in will take place from 1-3 p.m. ET on Saturday, July 12. Check-out will take place from 9-11 a.m. ET on Sunday, July 20.

 

Where does The Songbook Academy take place?

Program activities (including Songbook Academy in Concert and other public events) will take place on the campus of Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, Indiana, the official headquarters of the Great American Songbook Foundation. Our campus is located 30 minutes from downtown Indianapolis and from the Indianapolis International Airport. By car, we are located approximately three hours from Chicago and two hours from Cincinnati.
 
During the program, students are housed at Fairview House residence hall at Butler University (just a 20-25 minute bus ride from the Center's campus). 

 

PROGRAM UPDATES

Accordion File Start Tag.
Place this tag before the RTE which contains the Accordion File content.
All headers should use the "Accordion File" style while the rest of the content should use the normal paragraph style.
Be sure not to forget the Accordion File End Tag.

Program Registration

Registration for The Songbook Academy is now complete. Please visit your GetAcceptd profile to review your program registration. Further program information will be sent to student and parent/guardian emails.

Share the exciting news and information about how to view the upcoming performances with your friends and family, or contact your local news and media outlets using your custom Media Kit or reach out to Communications Manager Brian Bosma at BBosma@TheSongbook.org. 

The Media Kits include:

  • A General Marketing Resources folder with flyers, social media graphics, the official press release, and a communications tip sheet (also attached)
  • A personalized folder with your headshot and Songbook Academy-branded social media profile image (organized in 2025 Songbook Academy Student Participants by last name)
  • Please note Alumni folders include images from last year’s Songbook Academy participation if helpful for promotional purposes
  • Additional spotlight features and content will be added throughout the summer—so be sure to save the link and check back regularly!
