When Hamilton star Renée Elise Goldsberry performs Oct. 12 at the Center for the Performing Arts, her special guest will be a fellow Broadway performer and an alumna of the Great American Songbook Foundation’s annual Songbook Academy® summer intensive, Kyrie Courter.

About Kyrie: Kyrie Courter, who participated in the 2013 Songbook Academy as a high school student from Chicago, is now a performer and content creator based in New York City. She recently made her Broadway debut in the 2023 revival of Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at the Lunt-Fontanne Theater. Other credits have included Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes, Ragtime (Bay Street Theater); School Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play (Goodman Theatre); Next to Normal (Writers Theatre, Jeff nomination for Performer in a Supporting Role); Marie Christine (BoHo Theatre, Jeff nomination for Performer in a Principal Role).
