Great American Songbook Foundation
Festival of Trees
Indiana Historical Society // Nov 14 - Dec 3 ET
Event Details
Fri Nov 14 thru Sat Jan 3
The Great American Songbook Foundation is proud to participate in the Indiana Historical Society's 2025 Festival of Trees. This year’s Festival of Trees features a winter wonderland of more than 80 trees representing individuals, families and companies from around Indiana.
Some of our amazing Songbook Foundation volunteers and staff came together to design a tree that serves as a beautiful tribute to Irving Berlin's classic film White Christmas with ornaments inspired by the beloved songs and scenes that have brought people together for generations.
We’re delighted to share that past Songbook Foundation docent and award-winning jazz artist Emma Hedrick will be performing on behalf of the Foundation at the Indiana Historical Society’s Festival of Trees Twilight Nights on Thursday, December 18 at 6 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.
This is a perfect chance to enjoy festive holiday music and see the Foundation’s own “Dreaming of a White Christmas” Tree in a special evening display. Looking for a date-night idea or a cheerful after-work outing? Twilight Nights offers extended hours, sparkling décor, and a uniquely magical downtown experience.
About Emma
Emma Hedrick is an award-winning jazz vocalist, composer and bandleader from Indianapolis whose accolades include multiple DownBeat Student Music Awards, recognition from the International Songwriting Competition, and third place in the Ella Fitzgerald Vocal Competition. She has performed nationally and internationally — from Telluride and Rochester to the Netherlands and Germany — and holds degrees in Vocal Jazz Performance from the Frost School of Music and the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague.
Fun fact: As a high school student, Emma volunteered in the Traditions Senior Living Communities Songbook Gallery, and as recently as this summer, she participated in the Songbook Academy as a chaperone and coordinator of our Student Support Center.
Please note: Tickets for Twilight Nights directly support our friends at the Indiana Historical Society.
We are proud to have our tree on display throughout the 2025 Festival of Trees in the Cole Porter room at the Indiana Historical Society.
