Payne & Mencias Palladium

This year, the magic moves to the Payne & Mencias Palladium, offering two showtimes and expanded seating while preserving the intimate, heartwarming spirit audiences love. In a one-of-a-kind setup, guests will be seated both on stage and in the Choral Terrace, with performers singing against the stunning backdrop of the Concert Hall, creating an immersive concert experience unlike any other. In this new format, no one will be seated in the orchestra seats of the hall. This style keeps the show intimate and the tradition of the showcase alive.

About the Event

Celebrate the holidays with the return of a beloved tradition! Songbook Academy Sings the Songs of the Season brings together alumni of the Songbook Academy® for a joyful cabaret-style concert filled with timeless classics and holiday cheer.

This concert has become one of the Songbook Foundation’s most anticipated holiday traditions and typically sells out quickly, so early ticket reservations are strongly encouraged.

Attendees at the show can expect to see:

  • Songbook Academy alumni who, in past years, have represented institutions as far away as Ithaca College, the University of Michigan, Eastman School of Music, and the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music—and as close to home as Indiana University, Purdue, Ball State, and Central Indiana high schools
  • Performances of holiday favorites chosen by the returning alumni
  • Accompaniment by Mel Shore, longtime Songbook Academy music director known for her exceptional versatility as a pianist, Hammond B3 organist, sought-after studio musician, and music director
