COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Updates

In response to new COVID-19 guidelines issued Monday by state and federal officials, the Great American Songbook Foundation is extending its previously announced suspension of all educational programming, events and gallery activity through May 11.


The affected programs and visiting hours include:

  • Perfect Harmony (all sessions canceled until further notice)
  • Songbook Exhibit Gallery closed 


Songbook Academy specific updates can be found here. At this time, we expect that the program will continue as planned. However, we have offered a 1 week application extension to relieve any added stress on families navigating community wide closures and schedule disruptions.  Applications will be due by March 22, 2020 at 11:59 PM.


The extension adds four weeks to the one-month suspension the Foundation announced on Friday, March 13. On Monday March 16, Gov. Eric Holcomb announced that the state is following new CDC guidelines recommending no gatherings of more than 50 people for the next eight weeks. President Donald Trump also announced on Monday a federal guideline that limits gatherings to no more than 10 people.


The Foundation will continue to follow the guidance of public safety officials and will reassess the suspension as needed.
